Do you have a pearl necklace or bracelet sitting in your jewelry box that needs restringing?

Join us on June 11, 2014 from 6 to 7:30 pm at Vintage Inspired to learn how to knot pearls and create a beautiful bracelet.  The cost is $45 and includes everything you need to make a bracelet for yourself or as a gift for someone.

Pearls are strung on silk with knots tied between the pearls to keep them from rubbing against each other and damaging the nacre, the iridescent layer on the surface of pearls.  It doesn’t take much to ruin a beautiful strand of pearls.

Knots also keep pearls more secure.  If a beaded strand breaks you might lose one or two but the knots will keep most of the pearls from falling off the strand.

Because of this jewelers suggest having pearls restrung every 5 years or so.   However that can cost several hundreds of dollars depending on the length of the piece.   So join us on June 11th and learn the secret to creating a perfect strand of pearls!
